Remember this cute, most adorable furry monster? If you don't, ask a 2 yr old and you will get the best intro to Elmo. Elmo's sweet nature and friendly voice has captured the hearts and minds of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. My son has been a Elmo fan since a very young age. Somewhere in-between 2 and 3 yrs of age, I thought he forgot about Elmo. But suddenly, one day he asked me if I could sing Elmo's song for him! Seems like Elmo is unforgettable!
I chose this toy for review for the following reasons:
- It has the musical sounds and songs feature.
- It is an INTERACTIVE toy.
- It will make the child move and get active.
I was 100% right! I wanted to open this toy for my son a few weeks later than it got opened. When I was stealthily carrying it to hide it in the closet, Elmo started singing out LOUD! I had pressed Elmo's hand and activated the song. My son rushed in wondering why on earth was MOMMY playing with Elmo? Wait. But we don't have a singing Elmo at home. And then it was quite impossible to hide Elmo anymore as he is BIG - the length of my arm.
He glanced at the big box in my hand and without further thought said "GIVE IT TO ME"! Sat down and his eyes brightened and with the widest grin " MY Elmo!". "Make him sing Mommy!".
So I just had to show him once where the button was in Elmo's hand and he was a jumping jack for the next 30 minutes! After getting exhausted of dancing with Elmo, he came up and in his own words, said " Mommy, THIS is FANTASTIC!".
Elmo comes with his very own microphone and two instruments – a tambourine and a drum set. Preschoolers can choose which instrument Elmo plays, and he "magically" recognizes which one you give him. Kids can also play along on Elmo’s instruments - they’re perfectly sized for little hands! For even more rockin’ fun, Elmo also interacts with other LET’S ROCK instruments (each sold separately); he knows when you’re playing the LET’S ROCK Guitar, Keyboard or Microphone and plays along with you! Elmo can recognize when you place the micro-phone in his hands and he sings into it. The micro-phone is not really functional. This is a great toy to boost the love for music in a child. It is also a fantastic toy to get all that extra energy. My son dances till he drops! There is no way to adjust the volume but Elmo is not too loud. He is very much audible and pleasant to hear.
Let's Rock Elmo will be a rocking gift for children. Although I find it to be slightly pricey, you can buy it with 2-3 people pooling in to buy it as a gift it for a birthday or Christmas.
