Review: Junior Firefighter Costume from Costume Discounters

I love to encourage my son to do pretend play as it develops his imagination and one of his or rather his only favorite is wanting to be a fireman. He had a Kidorable Fireman Raincoat which he loved to wear but soon graduated to being a real fireman. He loves anything to do with being a firefighter! He  was even willing to trade his fireman raincoat for a real firefighter coat.

When I had the chance to review this Junior Firefighter costume in Tan, I knew who would be over the moon! 

I was really stunned with the quality of this costume. Thick but soft and comfortable fabric with reflectors make it look like real gear.

Fight fires and save lives as a brave firefighter.Costume features full and authentic turn-out gear, three metal clasps close the jacket, reflective striping on jacket and pan ts provide safety and pants feature cargo style pockets. Costume also includes a black fireman’s helmet with fire chief shield.

The cherry on the cake was the really cute and cool helmet which completes the whole set. You can also pair it with Childs Jr. Fire Chief Boots to get the complete look.

 I know that my son would live in this if he had to. The size fits a 4-6 yr old. My son is a tall 3 yr old and also the straps for the pant are adjustable for different height requirements. This will be so loved for a long time and I will keep this as a memoir to give my son when he grows up.

I am a great fan of cotton and you can simply tell that by looking at my wardrobe. I go for 100% cotton when shopping for my son as it is the best for skin and oh so comfortable too!

When I received this ComfortLuxe two-piece set from Halo Innovations, it was hard for me to believe that this ComfortLuxe fabric which looks not so soft can actually be better than cotton. I was also not sure if my little energy buster will stay long in it, since he is used to cotton. 

So we tried it and he loved the little dinosaur. The fabric is true to the word for its performance. It regulates the body temperature so the child feels comfortable and not too hot and not too cold.

ComfortLuxe microfibers work by “breathing” – regulating body temperature and wicking moisture away from the skin where it evaporates quickly (twice as fast as 100% cotton!). Coupled with its lightweight, soft, and a silk-smooth texture, ComfortLuxe will provide less chafing, which can lead to fewer skin irritations for more comfortable sleep. 

As a parent, what I liked most was the cuffs on the sleeves and the legs. They are just right for little legs to enter and stay put so that the pajama doesn't slide to the feet. I chose 1 size bigger as my son is tall but skinny. The waist was loose due to the bigger size but length was perfect and even though it is a size bigger, it not even once came off his legs. 

I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to my friends. ComfortLuxe has also been awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association.
