Tropical Traditions Shredded Coconut ( R+G) 7/29

I have been trying many products from Tropical Traditions now and only have praise for how "natural" their products are. It is becoming increasingly hard to find pure and natural products. As consumers subscribe to convenience and compromise on natural ingredients, brands find it easier to market unhealthy ingredients . But Tropical Traditions has such awesome natural products and I am patiently waiting for them to open in Canada!

I use coconut in some of my cooking and this is the best coconut I have tasted! It tastes like real coconut. I like that. I do not want it taste like something else. Coconut when sprinkled in some spicy dishes add richness to the food. Coconut cookies! mmmm..I tried a coconut, chocolate and oatmeal cookie and it was awesome. Unaltered taste of coconut is what Tropical Traditions Shredded Coconut gives !

Tropical Traditions 100% natural Shredded Coconut, Coconut Flakes, and Coconut Chips are made from organic dried coconuts in the Philippines that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. They are a great addition to recipes and baking, or just for snacks! Note: The Shredded Coconut is a very small cut, suitable for baking, such as making macaroons. The Coconut Flakes are a larger shredded coconut cut, perfect for garnishing or toppings, such as the top of a coconut cream pie. The Coconut Chips are a much larger cut that can be used as a snack food. You can mix them with nuts and dried fruit, for example.

There is no limit to the menus you can whip up with coconut! It can be soaked in water for a while and ground to a paste. My friend adds such a paste to some of her soups for some flavor, sweetness and richness.

It comes neatly packed in a airtight container, so you do not have to worry about finding a container and thinking about how to store it. I liked this feature and appreciate it! So handy !

You can buy it for $25.00 and it is on sale now for $17.50.

Thanks to Tropical Traditions, 1 lucky reader will have the opportunity to win a  1 gallon re-sealable pail - 3.5 lbs of Shredded Coconut.
