I had a wonderful opportunity to try some products from Seventh Generation. This is an awesome brand that pro-actively considers the impact that products could have on the environment and carries a line of products that families would love to use at homes. By choosing not to process with chlorine, Seventh Generation helps reduce the overall amount of chlorinated toxins released into the environment.

 I chose to review the following products and love them all! I'd like to say a little bit more than that as you just gotta know why I recommend them. My toddler likes to do EVERYTHING I do and especially when cleaning, he finds that mommy tells him to stay away when she cleans certain things. Why can't he clean what mommy is cleaning? Now since we have started using more and more eco-friendly products, mommy and son get along just fine while cleaning!

Baby wipes is a "rescue hero" for many situations! Not only do I use them for my toddler's bottoms, but also to clean their face, hands, nose..the list can be endless when you have a child. Considering their limitless uses, it turns out that we can still use them without having to worry about the chemicals in the wipes that makes skin dry. 

What chemicals could wipes possibly contain?

Some other brands that label their products "Fragrance Free", "Unscented", or "Perfume Free" may still contain small amounts of fragrances called masking agents, used to hide unpleasant odors from other ingredients. Masking agents are chemicals used to cover up another chemical color or fragrance and are not typically disclosed on ingredient lists.

These diapers will be great especially if a child has sensitive skin. Though I did not have the chance to use it on my son when he was an infant, I would highly recommend it  for newborns as they are so fresh in this world and these diapers would be such a nice thing to have. Since they are hypoallergenic, they are gentle on the baby skin. My son still is in size 5-6 diapers but I so look forward to using their training pants!

Although this Toilet Bowl Cleaner does not disinfect, it is the best cleaner I have used. I would just buy it again because of the non-toxic nature and no fumes that I have to inhale. Review: Nature Clean's Dish Washing Liquid

All Nature Clean products are non-toxic and biodegradable and are created from naturally derived ingredients. Book Review: 100 Read & Sing Devotions

If I were to give this as a gift, I am sure to "wow" the receiver.But I am not gifting this to anyone as my son loves to read this book! He finds it easy to understand and he is also learning the short Bible verses, which is awesome.

The CDs have found their home in our car and my son ( and me) loves the songs and sings along by shaking his head to the beats! It is a great set for small children as young as 3 and a valuable tool to teach and help children grow in their faith.

Disney's PROM - Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack ( R+G) 9/10

Time for yet another fabulous release from Walt Disney Studios!

PROM will be releasing on August 30 , 2011 and will capture the hearts of all teens.

We watched it as a family and loved it.  While PROM is always viewed in light of the glamorous gowns and how memorable the day will be, Disney has perfectly put the focus on what essentially goes unnoticed. The movie talks about friendships that are developing, judgements that are reversed with familiarity and puts the spotlight on what truly can connect or disconnect people.

I found it as a valuable movie (with barely noticeable violence- 1 scene for a few seconds)  which can help teenagers connect with their student community with a true heart and not give way for deception. It is a movie worth watching , learning and laughing!

Review: Hallmark's Recordable Storybook

All little girls love princesses and dream to be one! This recordable storybook is just for that little princess in your life. It is very well made with "voice save" technology which helps you to record your voice as you read.

Each page talks about a princess and the wonderful qualities that truly make them fit to be a princess. It encourages children to focus on inner qualities that help them build their personality. It reiterates the value of being friendly, helpful and how people love and appreciate these values more than the sparkles on the gown.

It finally has a page that says the sweetest thing and a little girl would feel so special and loved, to hear that.

I have never liked a spread more than I liked Biscoff Spread! It has the most delicious flavor, smooth texture and just the right amount of sweetness. I am one of the odd people who hates anything to do with peanuts. So I go nowhere near a jar of peanut butter. But Biscoff Spread has captured all my senses! 

I took a spoonful of it and savored it and once it is swallowed, I can't feel the taste in my tongue.So I need another spoonful to experience that taste and that's the story of how the jar was emptied.

I liked it best with apples.The crunchy texture of apples and the smooth texture of Biscoff Spread combined with its cookie flavored taste was a big hit with my 3 yr old. He developed a liking for apple after ignoring apples for a long time. We also tried it with toast and the spread sort of melts on the toast. It is a great way to serve whole wheat bread.

Also it is free from nuts and can be packed in children's lunchboxes without any hestitation.

Now the most interesting question, where can it be purchased?

Biscoff Spread will be available at larger retailers across the U.S. in Spring 2011 and can already be purchased at the Biscoff Coffee Corner at PIER 39 in San Francisco and at www.biscoff.com.

I am not sure if I can find it anywhere in Canada yet but any suggestions on that would be highly appreciated. I did find it at Amazon.com but I am afraid shipping will cost me more than the spread itself.If you are going to the US, you can bring back a few jars with you!

So how does it taste?

It is a powder that blends well in water but it does not dissolve completely. So when I drank it I could feel really tiny granules in my mouth and throat. It tastes very refreshing though. It did not leave any after taste except for the pleasant berry flavor. 

It gives around 40-42 calories per serving, so it can be consumed 2 or 3 times in a day. The health benefits that come from all the ingredients of this drink outweigh the taste. I love to drink it 2 times a day and really feel good about all the good stuff that my body is getting. Really great product that is all natural. Goodnight Angels by Melody Carlson ( R+G) 8/31

Another great book from Zonderkidz! So comforting so read for bed time and it is filled with all the favorite things of a child. 

Carlson's simple yet heartfelt story teaches young readers the importance of celebrating all the blessings in their lives as they get ready for their bedtime prayer. GOODNIGHT, ANGELS gently draws children to sleep as it reminds them that God is watching over them.

Book Review: Abe's Lucky Day by Jill Warren

As I awaited the arrival of this book, I was wondering whether this would be a suitable book for my 3 yr old.Will he like it? Would I enjoy reading it with him? Will there be some easy but valuable learning? I had all these thoughts as I judged a book by its cover and not it's content. I didn't have a silly picture or a fire truck or something to attract a little child to pick it up and read it. I was SO wrong!

This is a lovely book and I have had the pleasure of reading it so many times with my son. It is a story about a man named Abe who despite having close to nothing, shares the little he has with people who were suffering. He even gives up his little box that he sleeps in to a little girl shivering in the cold. But all his good deeds were only leading him to a lucky day that changes his life forever.

Every page teaches about sharing with the unfortunate and it is so simple for my 3 yr old to understand.He understands it thoroughly. He loves to read this book and it is one of his favorite book.I would consider this book as a great gift to anyone who purchases it.

I try my best to use hot water and a wipe cloth to clean the appliances so as to minimize the toxic smells emitted by some cleaners. Sometimes, it is a battle. Mom vs dirt! How I hate to see a dirty stove top when I wake up. I was pleased to try the Affresh Kitchen Appliance Cleaner. No toxic smell, just a mild, pleasant fragrance. It did a wonderful job on my stove top and microwave. Didn't have to exhaust myself by scrubbing. 

I would buy it again as it not only performs well, but love the subtle smell. Anything strong smelling, leaves me with a migraine.

Stainless Steel Wipes

This would be the magic wand of the kitchen! You should have this if if you have a lot of stainless steel appliances at home. I used it on my stainless steel coffee maker and it just took a few seconds to make it glow. It would be fantastic to have this when I have visitors and don't have time to clean thoroughly. These wipes are as handy as having wipes for baby!

Stainless Steel Cleaner

This worked very well for large stainless steel surfaces. I used this on a larger surface to remove stubborn residues and gave it a clean wipe with the Stainless Steel Wipes. It was a thorough cleaning with streak free results.

This cleaner come with 2 scrub pads and cleans wonderfully well.I used it on my stove top and my stove top was not hot when I cleaned it. It is hard to clean it is cold and hard and the challenge was a success! It really works and since it came with 2 scrubs I could clean right away. Cleaning can get hard when we postpone doing it. So I really appreciate it coming with the scrubs.
