I did not have to explain the concept of death to my 3 yr old as the book mostly covers what happens in heaven and what it looks like. So it was like talking about a new place which is real.I knew I wasn't talking about a land in a fairytale and whatever little his mind could grasp was all the truth. It got very interesting when we read about how we can swim with sharks and pet the lions as there will be no danger in heaven. That struck a chord and he sort of understood that we were talking about a very interesting place. The more often we read, the more he will know of a place called "Heaven". 

Since the world is facing many dangers everyday and death will be something that we have to face and children will have questions. The book will be more useful for slightly older children with whom questions can be discussed. 

Anne Graham doesn't stop with just a book about heaven but goes on to urge parents to see if their child is interested in committing their life to God. This book is a great tool for Sunday School as the colorful illustrations are certain to paint a wonderful picture of heaven in a child's mind.

Mudpuppy World Floor Puzzle : R+G - 6/15

After my experience with Mudpuppy product, I'd like to introduce them to you as "Puzzle Specialists". Truly, they have created such wonderful material for children that their product quality has exceeded my expectations.

They do carry other toys and games for children, but I do love their line of puzzles! And their very budget friendly prices, make them more affordable. I saw something that I have used as a child and really loved playing it countless times. It is the Learning Wheel and it Mudpuppy has it for $10.It is an excellent learning tool!

I chose to review the World Map Floor Puzzle which sells for $17 and it is totally worth it. It comes in a really sturdy box with a red rope handle. The pieces go right in however you want and a good shake puts them all in place!

My son has loved maps since he was really young and even now loves to learn names of countries and different places. So I thought he would like this puzzle. We played with it and he really enjoyed the puzzle. The pieces are big enough for little hands to hold and it is easy for their minds to put them together. He needed help as it was his first time of  putting a map together.

The best features were that once the puzzle is solved, there are pictures of animals , for eg. a picture of a penguin in Antarctica and a Camel in the desert areas. Fish swimming in the oceans and buildings, players etc make it more interesting. There is a LOT to talk about with your child once the puzzle is put together. The details and the pictures are simple and not overwhelming for a young child. Very nicely done with little clients in mind!

Then when I saw this cute little outfit, I knew there was more to it than just for little girls. They have very smart looking outfits for boys as well. Pink Princess is a great place to shop for boys formals.

I chose to review the Khaki 5 Piece Polyester Shorts Set . I really liked the look of the set with the cap especially. I was anxiously waiting for it to arrive as I wanted my son to try it. Being his first formal wear, I wasn't sure how he would like it. When it came, it looked just as stunning as it is in the website.

Pink Princess clothes are made in USA. I really loved the soft cotton white shirt and my little one did not mind putting it on. However, he did not like the slightly rough feel of the polyester on his shorts. So he wouldn't wear it.The cap was a bit tight for his head. The size of the shirt and shorts was just the right size. If you want your child to grow into it, you should consider buying 1 size bigger. 

I really like the variety that is available at Pink Princess and would definitely consider buying an outfit in a slightly thicker cotton suit material.

Hasbro's "CANDYLAND The world of sweets" is one sweet game ! R+G - 6/15

This is the first board game that my son played with me. It is hard to get him to sit and focus on something.He would prefer to drive his trucks and cars and make traffics jams at the entrance of rooms than play a game.Sounds like a boy to me!

So when I got this game, I did not open it right away and left it for him to get curious about it. He asked me several times if we could play it and I told him that he had to wait. I wanted him to look forward to playing the game so he will sit there for a while.And the day arrived when mommy would open the box which he thought would be full of candy! LOL. Like the name says, the board appears like a land filled with cupcakes and lollipops and colorful candies. 

This is a VERY GOOD game, if your toddler won't sit for a long time. The simplicity of this game is what makes it apt for a toddler whose attention span is fairly short.


I tried to tell him that board games are not only fun but good for the brain as it helps him think. He usually gets the "It is good for your .." part, but what follows that is still all a mystery to him! Sometime during the game, he told me "Mommy play this, it is good for your skin!" I just burst into peels of laughter!

It comes with a sturdy board, a pack of cards with bright, solid color squares and 4 little figurines who we decided to name " Candy Men". The less pieces and less rules, the more the focus on what actually is expected of the child when they play. That is the best feature of this game and I love that.

So we pick out one card and as per the color, move the candy man along the colored path. That's it.It is not even a matter of winning or loosing, though it can be played competitively by slightly older children. Lots of color matching, moving and the board itself is a treat to the eyes. Ideally we would have loved to have something sweet after the game but since it was evening, we decided to skip that.But that would be a real treat!

There is a filter attached right below the lid. So you can use it with tea leaves in the glass and the tea can be sipped.You can also place the tea leaves in the filter and allow the water to brew it and every sip you take will be rich with flavor. 

 Remove the lid and filter; carefully add hot water to below the rim of the tea glass. Twist the filter on securely; add 2 -3 grams of loose- leaf tea on top of the filter.
Wait 2-3 minutes prior to twisting on lid so steam pressure does not force a leak upon inverting.

After a brief cool down period, twist on the lid securely and slowly turn the glass upside down to steep the tea.

Review: Moon Dough by Spin Master

My first try with play doh was not successful as my little pack of energy - my son, loved to spill them all over and it was even hard to pick up the tiny pieces. And of course they dried out when I forgot to put them in the box.I thought to myself what would work for a kid and a mom..tadaaaaaaaahh! I heard about Moon Dough and was over the moon when I was asked to review this wonderful product. I figured it is more value for money if the product can be kept to be enjoyed for a longer duration.

The package does not only contain just the dough but it is a whole set which promises magical fun. For my son it is the best dough suitable for his age and they went the extra mile to include the animal zoo play set.Which toddler doesn't love animals?!

Moon Dough is an amazing molding compound unlike anything you have ever seen before. Launched last fall, Moon Dough became an instant hit. It is soft and marshmallow-like, cleans up easily, and never dries out so you can use it again and again. Set-up was easy.

I just had to attach the base to the vertical frame, put on the stickers provided to give it a zoo touch. There is a gate sort of an attachment that is fixed between the vertical bars and that is where the animal figures go. The twister is located right on top and a little handle attaches to facilitate easy turning. With this you are good to go! Now stuff some dough ( remember to work the dough a bit to make them into a lump) into the animal figures, attach the legs and attach them on the gate.Twist the handle until the animal clips off the gate and walks away!

It is the coolest part where the child will know that the effort of stuffing the animal and the turning, has paid off! My son really looks forward to see the little animals walking. It is really a lot of fun. We sang some zoo and animal songs and it was a memorable time I had with my son.

The best feature is that even when left outside this Moon Dough never dries out.About the mess? It is inevitable :) My son did put it on the carpet and I did just like it was mentioned on the pack.Used a brush and a comb to scrap them off and vacuumed it.It wasn't bad. Overall, my son had fun with it and it keeps him occupied for a while and I can hear him talking to the animals.And mom-friendly too! 

I give Moon Dough 5 shining stars and it is simple yet wonderful.
