In this title, Heaven - God's Promise for Me, Anne Graham Lotz has taken reading to a whole new level, to heaven! It is sure a happy book to read. It begins with two young kids who ponder about the death of their dear grandmother and are taken to see what is heaven really like.

I did not have to explain the concept of death to my 3 yr old as the book mostly covers what happens in heaven and what it looks like. So it was like talking about a new place which is real.I knew I wasn't talking about a land in a fairytale and whatever little his mind could grasp was all the truth. It got very interesting when we read about how we can swim with sharks and pet the lions as there will be no danger in heaven. That struck a chord and he sort of understood that we were talking about a very interesting place. The more often we read, the more he will know of a place called "Heaven". 

Since the world is facing many dangers everyday and death will be something that we have to face and children will have questions. The book will be more useful for slightly older children with whom questions can be discussed. 

Anne Graham doesn't stop with just a book about heaven but goes on to urge parents to see if their child is interested in committing their life to God. This book is a great tool for Sunday School as the colorful illustrations are certain to paint a wonderful picture of heaven in a child's mind.
