This post is a part of Christmas Cheer, a Holiday Gift Event, that will run on my blog from Nov 1-30.
Stortz & Associates is Canada's leading importer and distributor of Eco Friendly Toys. They are also the source for especially unique and fun toys which are regularly featured by the media.I am glad that many brands are coming up with more and more green products. Items like "toys" will forever be in high demand and hence high supply has to be maintained. What better path to take than going "green" in this high demand industry? And as parents, I think it is important to make every effort to teach our children to make the right choice now for a better future.
Have you ever wondered where all those milk cartons end up after we toss them in the recycle? Well, here's what I learned from Green Toys - "When you finish your milk and toss the container in the recycling bin, these milk containers are collected at your curb by a local recycling company, who then sorts them from all the other types of plastic. Next, the milk containers are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic. For you plastic geeks, the plastic material we use is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE). This material is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around."
The founders of Green Toys decided to find a way to reuse plastic milk containers and make toys out of them. That is how Green Toys was born! I was happy to find out about Green Toys and excited to share it with all of you.
All Green Toys products are 100% made in the USA.
Stortz & Associates gave me the opportunity to review the Green Toys Tool Set.
This awesome 15 piece set includes a tool box, phillips screwdriver, flat screwdriver, hammer, saw, wrench, pliers, 2 two-hole connectors, 2 nails, 2 bolts, and 2 nuts.My son is always looking to play with a screw driver and wants to copy daddy! Now he got his own tool kit and he beats dad in having a environment friendly tool kit! It looks very sturdy and has no compromise on quality.
It came neatly packed in a card board box which I simply put in recycling. I didn't have to go through tons of plastic to get to the toy. Thank you Green Toys for such a fine product and we'd love more and more products like these. I am glad to feature Green Toys on my blog so that many moms can know about the choices available to them. The prices are very affordable and very reasonable.
Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California. The raw materials and toys aren't shipped from overseas, which saves a lot of energy and reduces greenhouse gasses.
You can buy this Tool Set from Green Toys for US$24.99 or they are available in many stores.
Green Toys is giving away the same Tool Set to 1 lucky Canadian reader!
