I can still remember it like yesterday, my mom being a big fan of T-Fal cookware. I was looking forward to trying T-Fal's Optisteam Garment Steamer as I had never used a steamer before and wanted to know how it worked and if it was really all that it claims to be. When it arrived, we were surprised that it was very light and took only 5 minutes to set -up and I was ready to use it! It comes with a small compartment for water and all the On/Off controls with light indicators are on the handle of the brush. The steam started to jet out in 1 minute from the nozzles near the bristles of the brush and you are good to go! I first tried it with a cotton shirt and went back to pick the most crinkly member of the closet. After steaming, I did have a crinkle-free shirt! Impressive work done!

The trick is to hold the steam for a few seconds near the crinkles before brushing them out.It works very effectively and crinkles are out. You can adjust the steam at different levels and in minutes, you can have a crinkle-free shirt! The steamer does not give you the perfect line on the sleeve or the perfectly pressed collar. It does not do the job of providing a shape, but highly efficient in removing creases and crinkles. 

You can choose to steam your clothes or fabrics that does not require a shape, thereby reducing the use of hot iron on fabric. I also loved the "fresh, natural" smell of steam on my shirt rather than the "hot, burnt" smell of iron. Since steam is safe and gentle on fabrics, it can be used on a variety of fabrics.Silk blouses will retain their shine and luster if they are steamed instead of ironing.
